Gently used goods are shared locally where there is a known need. However, most of the goods are sent "up the mountain" to the Appalachian Region and delivered to churches and sites for distribution with the expectation that the Gospel of Jesus Christ is shared with the recipients. We generally make a trip a week to the Appalachian Region to take one of the larger trailers filled to capacity with used clothing, bedding, furniture, appliances, house wares, computers, bikes, and toys as well as food and new Bibles.

Many of the used goods come to us from folks who are down-sizing, replacing bedding, furniture or appliances or cleaning out the family home when parents pass away. The Lord has proved time and again that He knows where the goods are located and where they are needed. We are privileged to see His hand at work in this ministry as He fulfills one need after another.

Our needs in this area are many; first and foremost we need prayer, secondly gently used goods, then volunteers to help collect the goods and drive them to the Appalachian Region and finally, funds. The round trip to deliver a load is anywhere from 450 to 600 miles. The cost of diesel fuel makes the trip and local mileage to collect the goods cost in excess of $300 per load.
