Blanket America Ministries is a Christian, non profit, tax deductible ministry which collects and distributes donations of coats, blankets, clothing, food, appliances, furniture, and house wares to the Appalachian Region. Financial donations allow us to purchase new Bibles, Christian literature, blankets, coats, shoes, and videos. Donations also provide the means to purchase the fuel required for the over 60,000 miles driven per year for the pick up and delivery of goods.

We give all the Glory and Honor to God for the purchase of a new truck and trailer!

We were blessed to receive gifts which allowed the purchase of the first ministry owned truck; a new heavy duty truck capable of pulling the large loads up the mountain. In addition, we were able to purchase a new 36 foot trailer, bringing our total now to four trailers. Praise be to our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ for turning the generous hearts of these donors to this ministry! Indeed we serve an awesome God!

In September 2003, Blanket Appalachia (BA) started in response to the Lord's call to minister to both the spiritual and physical needs of the people of the Appalachian Region. We had no identifiable means of financial support but by early November God had provided about $25,000 to purchase blankets, coats, and Bibles. There were 39 volunteers who made the trip to the Appalachian Mountains to work in 6 churches alongside the local volunteers.
During the combined 2009/2010 events we distributed about 1,400 cedar and 1,000 children's hand made cross necklaces, 14,600 coats, 36,000 pairs of socks, 16,000 blankets, and over 7,300 Bibles. Most exciting of all is that in just those two days Blanket Appalachia weekend volunteer missionaries had the privlege of ministrering to and sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ one-on-one with over 10,000 people in the Appalachian region! To date, we have been privileged to see over 240 people come to know Christ through this annual ministry!

Love Thy Neighbor Ministry

The Love Thy Neighbor Ministry began with a need for food in the Appalachian Region. We asked our church members for food and soon found ourselves under an avalanche of house wares and clothing. Before long we were collecting bedding, computers, appliances, bicycles, furniture, and exercise equipment. Due to the number of donation pick ups requested in our area, the ministry has grown to include two ministry owned trucks and a  20, a 30 and three 36 foot trailers. We make local pickups 6 days a week and average 1 delivery per week to the Appalachian Region; a round of trip of between 450 to 600 miles, depending on destination.
